Halite and Gypsum with secondary copper mineral inclusions
Measures about: 100×90x40mm; weights 0,370

A cluster of almost colourless halite crystals on elongated green gypsum crystals coloured by inclusions of secondary copper minerals

The label that comes with this piece does not indicate the correct location (see photo opposite).
As far as we know, no green Gypsum has been found in the Solno Mine - only brown Gypsum (we were made aware of this by an expert).
We believe the piece came from one of the mines in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The Sieroszowice Mine, Lubin Mine or Rudna 9 Mine. Judging by the pictures in MinDat's database, probably the Lubin mine.
